Afrobeats superstar Wizkid (Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun) made history by selling out his headline concert at the legendary Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York City.
The concert took place on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, in the 20,000-seat arena. Wizkid himself confirmed the sold-out status on his Instagram page, sharing photos of multiple billboards highlighting the achievement.
Wizkid’s event was highly anticipated as he became only the second Nigerian artist to headline and sell out the iconic venue, following Burna Boy’s “One Night In Space” show in April 2022.
Wizkid’s MSG concert is part of his promotional run for his album, More Love Less Ego, and solidified his status as one of Africa’s biggest global music exports.
