Hubtel Expands Digital Payment and E-Commerce Services to Techiman, Sunyani, and Tarkwa

Hubtel, Ghana’s premier payment services provider, has expanded its operations to three new commercial hubs outside major metropolitan areas: Techiman (Bono East), Sunyani (Bono), and Tarkwa (Western Region). This strategic move brings Hubtel’s total national presence to 11 cities.
Elsie Bram, Head of Consumer Demand & Growth at Hubtel, stated that the expansion is driven by the company’s mission to ensure Ghana’s digital future is inclusive, reaching every town and business, not just major cities.
The expansion will offer two main benefits:
- For Businesses: Thousands of local enterprises will gain access to digital payment tools (including mobile money, cards, and QR), delivery support, and solutions to boost revenue and customer service.
- For Consumers: Residents can use the Hubtel app for easy purchases from nearby vendors, bill payments, money transfers, and other essential services, supported by fast local deliveries (quick-commerce).
Hubtel, a Ghanaian tech company founded in 2005 and licensed by the Bank of Ghana, aims to make daily transactions easy and safe, accelerating Africa’s growth by enabling individuals and businesses to access and pay for everyday essentials through a unified digital platform.
