Kumawood actor and producer Kwadwo Nkansah, known as LilWin, premiered his highly anticipated film A Country Called Ghana in May 2024, despite the event being overshadowed by a tragic car accident in Kumasi.
The film, which began shooting in February 2024, was deliberately structured for the streaming platform Netflix, prompting the inclusion of a major cross-border cast, including popular Nollywood actors Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, and Victor Osuagwu.
LilWin officially announced on March 13, 2024, that the movie would premiere in May, with dates set for:
- Accra: Friday, May 17, 2024 (at the National Theatre)
- Kumasi: Saturday, May 25, 2024 (at the KNUST CCB Auditorium)
- Sunyani: Saturday, June 1, 2024 (at the Eubsett Hotel)
