Sherifa Gunu Reveals Sarkodie Avoided Collaborating on Music Video

Award-winning artist Sherifa Gunu has publicly suggested that Ghana’s renowned rapper Sarkodie has been avoiding collaborating with her on a new music video, despite the two having a song together.
In an interview on Kingdom 107.7 FM, Sherifa Gunu explained that her communication with Sarkodie was smooth until she traveled abroad to give birth. After returning, she reached out to him to remix a song they had recorded together (likely a new version of their 2012 hit “Sherifa”) and shoot an accompanying video, but she allegedly received no response from the rapper.
She stated that due to the persistent lack of communication, she ultimately decided to work with fellow artist Ras Kuuku on the track instead and recently released the new video with him.
Sherifa Gunu shared that she later noticed Sarkodie had posted her new music video on his official Instagram and Facebook pages, which she suggested was a sign that he may have “regretted” the situation. This claim adds her to a list of several musicians who have publicly expressed frustration over Sarkodie’s perceived reluctance to collaborate or respond to feature requests.
