Tonto Dikeh Shares Emotional Testimony of Healing and Freedom from Long-Term Addictions

Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh recently delivered a powerful testimony at the Streams of Joy International Church, revealing her successful journey in overcoming nearly three decades of addiction and emotional struggles.

Speaking during a session led by Pastor Jerry Eze, the forty-year-old actress disclosed that her challenges began as early as age thirteen, leading to a twenty-seven-year smoking habit and a long-standing battle with other personal addictions and spiritual difficulties.

She admitted that she initially hesitated to share her story due to concerns about her public image, but ultimately decided that honoring her faith was more important than maintaining a specific reputation.

The actress credited a significant turning point in her life to the Ghana Prayer Conference and her consistent participation in the NSPPD prayer platform, which she says helped her find spiritual freedom and peace.

Beyond substance use, she spoke candidly about a destructive struggle with anger that had previously impacted her life, noting that she feels truly at rest for the first time. By sharing her experiences publicly, she aimed to warn parents about the dangers of early exposure to harmful habits while encouraging others facing similar battles.

Her openness has resonated widely online, drawing praise from fans and followers for her vulnerability and courage.
