Techiman South MP Pledges to Restore Peace and Prioritize Development After Post-Election Violence

Martin Agyei Korsah, the Member of Parliament for Techiman South, has reaffirmed his dedication to promoting peace, unity, and social cohesion following the unfortunate post-election violence that resulted in two deaths and several injuries.
During a courtesy visit to the Techiman Traditional Council, Korsah thanked the chiefs for their support and promised to diligently work to restore harmony and drive development. He stressed that political factions must set aside their differences and work together, emphasizing that peace is essential for progress.
Korsah also vowed to maintain close communication with the traditional leaders, recognizing their pivotal role in governance. His immediate priorities for the constituency are health, education, and agriculture.
In response, Nana Owusu Gyare, the Akwamuhene and acting President of the Traditional Council, encouraged Korsah to focus entirely on development rather than being distracted by the post-election challenges.
He assured the MP that the politically neutral council would support any leader who prioritizes the welfare of Techiman, urging Korsah to work hard to meet the expectations of his constituents.
