Ghana’s Black Satellites Eliminated from 2023 WAFU Championship

The Ghana Black Satellites were eliminated from the 2023 WAFU Zone B U-20 Boys Championship, held in Côte d’Ivoire. The team failed to advance from Group A after a difficult run in the group stage.
The crucial final Group A match, played at the Champroux Stadium on Thursday afternoon (July 13, 2023), saw Ghana held to a 1-1 draw against the host nation, Côte d’Ivoire. Ghana needed a win to progress.

Burkina Faso topped the group with a perfect nine points after defeating Niger 2-0 in their final match. Côte d’Ivoire secured the second semi-final spot from the group.
