Techiman North DCE Urges Community to Back Development Through Tax Compliance

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Techiman North, Mr. Peter Mensah, has called upon residents to fully support the District Assembly’s efforts to raise revenue by cooperating with the mobilization team. He stressed that fulfilling their civic duty of paying taxes is essential for the Assembly to secure sufficient funds and successfully execute planned development projects.
Mr. Mensah made this appeal during a Town Hall Meeting held in Aworowa. He explained that the meeting served as a crucial platform for residents of Aworowa and surrounding communities to review the Assembly’s past work and collaboratively decide on the future development path for the area. The event saw strong attendance from traditional and religious leaders, assembly members, and heads of various departments.
The DCE then outlined several key projects currently being undertaken or planned by the Assembly, which are dependent on this increased revenue. These projects include:
- Construction of a two-unit staff bungalow for the Krobo community Nursing Training College.
- Building a three-unit classroom block at Kyiridiagya and a six-unit classroom block at Fittre.
- Erecting a CHPS compound (health post) in Nyansuaka.
- Construction of two modern 20-seater toilet facilities for Aworowa.
- Improvements to the grading of local feeder roads.
