Stonebwoy Honored with Billboard Plaque for Historic Album Chart Debut

Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artist Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, has received a prestigious plaque from Billboard in recognition of his latest album, 5th Dimension, which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard World Reggae Album chart.
This debut marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time a Ghanaian album has reached this position on the World Reggae Album chart. Stonebwoy was presented with the plaque on August 7, 2023, in Crotona Park, The Bronx, New York, following a performance that was part of his 5th Dimension world tour.
Billboard determined the album’s ranking based on a comprehensive set of data, including traditional album sales, track equivalent albums, and streaming metrics (both audio and video).
This achievement adds to Stonebwoy’s expanding list of international accomplishments:
- His 2017 album, Epistles Of Mama (EOM), previously appeared on the Billboard World Album Chart.
- The lead single from his 2020 album Anloga Junction, “Nominate,” charted on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart.
- He is also the recipient of three Billboard plaques for his features on Collie Buddz’s Hybrid Album and Sizzla Kalonji’s I’m Yours, which ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on various Billboard charts.
