Sarkodie and Stonebwoy Represent Ghana at New York’s One Africa Music Fest 2018

Ghanaian music heavyweights, international reggae/dancehall star Stonebwoy and Africa’s rap heavyweight Sarkodie, were announced as the sole Ghanaian representatives for the New York edition of the One Africa Music Fest in 2018.

The prestigious two-day festival was scheduled for Saturday, August 11, to Sunday, August 12, 2018, at the Ford Amphitheater on the Coney Island Boardwalk in New York. The event was organized by Upfront and Personal Global Management Consultants (UPGMC), led by Nigerian event promoter Paul Okoye (Paul O).

The Star-Studded Lineup

Sarkodie and Stonebwoy shared the stage with an extensive list of top African musicians, primarily from Nigeria, Uganda, and South Africa, showcasing the festival’s dedication to boosting the continent’s influence on the global entertainment scene.

The lineup featured many of Africa’s biggest names, including:

  • Nigeria: Wizkid, Davido, Flavour, Kiss Daniel, Seyi Shay, Tekno, Phyno, Wande Coal, Skales, Niniola
  • Tanzania: Diamond Platnumz
  • South Africa: Cassper Nyovest
  • Uganda/Tanzania: Vanessa Mdee

The One Africa Music Fest is regarded as a premier platform for showcasing Africa’s finest talents, with the goal of strengthening the continent’s influence on the global entertainment scene and creating new partnership opportunities across the globe.
