Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, has successfully retained his parliamentary seat for Techiman South following a court-ordered re-collation of the 2024 election results.
The re-collation, conducted at the Electoral Commission’s (EC) regional office in Accra under tight security, was mandated by the court due to disputes and allegations of irregularities surrounding the initial declaration.
The final tally confirmed Korsah’s victory with 46,663 votes. His closest contender, Christopher Beyere Baasongti of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), secured 43,429 votes. The re-evaluation was ordered to ensure fairness and transparency in resolving the controversy surrounding the results.
