Actor Prince David Osei has launched sharp criticism against former President John Dramani Mahama, describing him as a “greedy” leader due to his sustained political ambitions.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on December 3, 2024, Osei questioned the former President’s repeated attempts to return to the highest office, listing the extensive roles Mahama has already held over the last 24 years:
“12 years as an MP, 4 years as Deputy Minister, 4 years as Minister, 4 years as Vice President, 4 years as President, and 8 years as Former President. Yet, he still wants to be president again. The greediness of some African leaders should never be encouraged.”
The actor then urged Ghanaian voters to reject Mahama’s bid and instead support the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the December 7 elections, calling for a change in leadership. Osei concluded by encouraging a vote for Bawumia, stating, “Let’s vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia #1.”
