Police Arrest Man on Bus with Locally-Made Pistols, Cartridges, and Cannabis

The Techiman Divisional Police Command in the Bono East Region has arrested 34-year-old Stephen Debuo on suspicion of robbery near Aboabo, along the Techiman-Wenchi highway.
According to DSP Kofi Sarkodie, the Divisional Crime Officer, Debuo was intercepted by a police patrol team while traveling in a commercial bus from Wenchi to Techiman. A search of the suspect’s bag in the Nissan vehicle uncovered two locally-made pistols, two 12-bore cartridges, and a substance suspected to be cannabis. Police also found a flashlight and GHS153 in cash.
When questioned, Debuo claimed he was traveling to Techiman for a funeral and that the cannabis was for personal use.
However, police are skeptical of his story and suspect he may be connected to a criminal gang planning a robbery, likely intending to meet accomplices in Techiman. The police have launched a full investigation to confirm these suspicions of a possible robbery scheme.
