Ned Nwoko Rejects Regina Daniels’ Separation Claims, Cites Court-Ordered Rehab for Access

Senator Ned Nwoko has formally dismissed recent social media claims by his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, regarding her separation from their children. In a statement released on December 16, 2025, Nwoko described her public emotional appeals as “misleading” and “inconsistent” with established family dynamics.

He clarified that the children, Munir (5) and Khalifa (3), are not being hidden from her but are being cared for in a stable, supervised environment. According to the Senator, Daniels’ absence from their daily lives has been a personal choice rather than a forced exclusion.

The Senator emphasized that a court has already ruled in his favor, setting specific conditions for Regina Daniels to regain access to her sons. These conditions include undergoing a drug rehabilitation program and being assessed by the Abuja Social Welfare Department.

Nwoko maintained that his insistence on her therapy is not an act of cruelty but a necessary measure to ensure their children are raised by an emotionally present and sober parent. He further criticized her for using their children as “emotional shields” on social media to stir public sympathy instead of complying with the legal path toward reconciliation.

The legal battle has been adjourned to February 4, 2026, for a hearing on the substantive suit. Meanwhile, the court has also dismissed a fundamental rights action filed by the actress against both the Senator and the Nigeria Police.

Nwoko concluded his statement by urging for a “window of quietude,” expressing hope that this period would be used for personal healing and recovery rather than further public controversy.
