Kweku Flick Slams “Disrespectful” Interruption of His Set at Wendy Shay’s Concert

Ghanaian rapper Kweku Flick has publicly voiced his frustration after his guest performance was abruptly cut short during the 2025 “Shay Concert.” The “Money” hitmaker, who traveled from Kumasi to Accra to support his fellow artist, described the incident as a blatant sign of disrespect toward his craft.
According to Flick, a stage operator or DJ terminated his set while the audience was still highly engaged, an action he found both unnecessary and unprofessional. While he clarified that he holds no personal grudge against Wendy Shay and congratulated her on the event’s overall success, he warned that he would not tolerate such disregard for his commitment and time in the future.
The artist noted that this is not an isolated incident, calling it a recurring issue that many prominent musicians face within the Ghanaian event space.
By speaking out on social media, Kweku Flick aimed to highlight the need for better backstage coordination and professional courtesy toward guest performers who often make significant personal sacrifices to appear at shows.
His comments have since sparked a wider discussion among fans and industry insiders about the treatment of artists and the logistical failures that sometimes mar high-profile concerts.
