Event Objectives:
The Ghana Food Festival was designed to be a comprehensive celebration of Ghanaian heritage, aiming to:
- Boost the consumption and export of Ghanaian food products.
- Provide a platform for Ghanaians to showcase local dishes, arts, and traditions to a diverse American and Ghanaian audience.
- Feature cultural displays, including Kente and Batakari stands, to showcase locally made fabric designs.
Prior to the event, King Ayisoba was scheduled to tour parts of New Jersey to promote the festival and increase participation. The musician, known for his cultural advocacy, previously called for May 12 to be designated as Kente and Batakari Day in Ghana.
