Hon. Paul Gyamfi Elected Presiding Member of Techiman North District Assembly

On Thursday, July 21, 2022, Hon. Paul Gyamfi, the Assembly Member for the Offuman Dampaaso Electoral Area, was elected as the Presiding Member of the Techiman North District Assembly.
In an election supervised by the Techiman North Constituency Electoral Officer, Mrs. Grace Sena Adzah, Hon. Gyamfi secured a commanding victory with 26 out of 35 valid votes (70.2%), defeating his rival, Hon. Richard Yeboah. Following the vote, Hon. Gyamfi was sworn into office by District Magistrate Court Judge Mr. Kwadwo Frimpong Manso.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Gyamfi thanked the members and urged them to prioritize collaboration and unity to tackle the district’s challenges. He highlighted the urgent need for a new assembly block and road maintenance. He pledged to work cooperatively with all members, regardless of political affiliation, and committed to collaborating with traditional leaders and unit committees to initiate projects and address critical environmental issues like illegal logging and sand mining.
Hon. Everson Addo-Donkor, the Techiman North District Chief Executive, expressed his appreciation for the support shown and reiterated his commitment to working closely with the assembly to drive the district’s development.
