LeBron James Passes Michael Jordan for Most 30-Point Games in NBA History

LeBron James made NBA history by passing Michael Jordan for the most career games with at least 30 points, a feat he achieved for the 563rd time during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 119-102 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

The 40-year-old, who is the league’s all-time leading scorer, netted exactly 30 points to secure this new record, which Jordan had held since 2003.

In the same game, James reached another longevity milestone, surpassing Dirk Nowitzki to move into fourth place on the NBA’s all-time games played list with 1,523 appearances. He now trails only Robert Parish, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Vince Carter.

The Lakers’ win was bolstered by Anthony Davis, who returned from an ankle injury to contribute 18 points and 19 rebounds, and Austin Reaves who added 20 points, securing the team’s seventh victory in their last nine games. For the Hawks, Trae Young top-scored with 33 points and nine assists.

In other NBA action, the Oklahoma City Thunder tied a team record with their 14th consecutive victory, overcoming a fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the New York Knicks 117-107.

Aaron Wiggins was key, scoring 15 of his 19 points in the final period, alongside 33 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Meanwhile, Victor Wembanyama led the San Antonio Spurs to a tight 113-110 win over the Denver Nuggets, finishing with 35 points, 18 rebounds, and a crucial late steal.
