PSG Women’s Manager Didier Olle-Nicolle Suspended Over Allegations of Inappropriate Behaviour

Didier Olle-Nicolle, the manager of the Paris St-Germain (PSG) women’s team, has been temporarily suspended from his duties following serious allegations of “inappropriate behaviour and remarks.”

The club announced the suspension while an internal investigation takes place, stating that players were reportedly exposed to events which, if substantiated, would be “incompatible” with PSG’s “sporting and human values.” The 61-year-old French manager has been in charge of the women’s side since July 2021.

PSG emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting in a statement, “Paris St-Germain is taking this situation seriously and intends to bring to light the reported events and remarks.”

The suspension came at a crucial time for the team. PSG had recently secured the French Cup and reached the semi-finals of the Women’s Champions League, where they were defeated by rivals Lyon.

They were sitting second in the French top flight and were scheduled to play leaders Lyon on the upcoming Friday in their penultimate game of the season. Olle-Nicolle had previously coached men’s teams in both Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 before taking on the PSG women’s role.
