Ghana international winger André Ayew has rejoined French Ligue 1 side Le Havre as a free agent, signing a one-year deal that secures his stay with the club for the 2024/25 season. This marks a return for the 33-year-old, who previously spent six months with Le Havre last season.
During his initial spell in France, Ayew made 19 appearances and scored five goals, significantly helping the club to avoid relegation.
Le Havre, which currently sits 14th in Ligue 1 after six matches, will benefit from Ayew’s wealth of experience gained across European and international football.
While Ayew was part of Ghana’s squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), he has been noticeably absent from the last three Black Stars call-ups under coach Otto Addo.
