Injury Woes Hit Arsenal and England: Saka Out, Odegaard Doubtful

Arsenal and England face significant injury concerns as forward Bukayo Saka is set to miss the club’s crucial match against Liverpool on Sunday, along with England’s World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia next month.
The 23-year-old sustained a hamstring injury during Saturday’s home victory against Leeds United and is expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks.
There is relief at Arsenal that this injury is not expected to be a long-term issue, especially as Saka missed three months of the previous season with a similar injury.
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is also doubtful for the match at Anfield due to a shoulder injury suffered during the same 5-0 win over Leeds.
The 26-year-old Norway playmaker was replaced in the first half and was seen leaving the Emirates Stadium with his shoulder in a sling.
However, the club has not yet officially ruled Odegaard out, maintaining some optimism that neither he nor Saka will face lengthy absences.
Manager Mikel Arteta will utilize the club’s enhanced attacking options to cope with the potential absences. The club signed Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, and Eberechi Eze this summer, adding to existing options like Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri, and Max Dowman.
