Herbert Mensah Congratulates Asante Kotoko on 2021/22 Ghana Premier League Title

Asante Kotoko were officially crowned champions of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League on Thursday, June 2, 2022, securing their first title since 2014 and dethroning their rivals, Hearts of Oak.
The Kumasi-based club clinched the victory after achieving a 1-1 draw against regional rivals Ashantigold at the Len Clay stadium. With only three games remaining in the season, the single point was enough for Kotoko to reach an unassailable 60 points after 31 matches, giving them a 10-point advantage at the top of the table.
Following the triumph, former Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko and former president of the Ghana Rugby Association, Herbert Mensah, congratulated the team on social media. In a tweet, he praised the team’s commitment to the club’s legacy:
“And when it mattered most ALL remembered the heritage of greatness that was required of them.”
Mensah also extended his gratitude to the current CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah, as well as the entire team for their season-long hard work and eventual success.
