King Promise shared personal details of the chaotic period on Snapchat, revealing that while organizers worked frantically to resolve the electrical failure, his family gathered to pray for the situation to be fixed. He posted a video showing his parents praying in his room, expressing his gratitude for their support by writing, “Love my family for real. God bless them for me.”
Despite the frustration expressed by some guests and performers over the long wait, power was finally restored to the venue shortly after midnight, allowing the concert to commence. King Promise later apologized to his fans for the late start.
The incident highlights a recurring issue for the event; the previous edition of Promiseland also experienced similar delays, which famously led Afrobeat star Wizkid to abandon his scheduled performance.
