Mona Gucci Granted Bail in GH¢103,400 Visa Fraud Case

Ghanaian socialite and entertainment personality Monalisa Abigail Semeha, popularly known as Mona Gucci, has been arraigned before an Accra Circuit Court on charges of visa fraud.

The case was filed following a complaint by Comfort Obiri, who claimed she was introduced to Mona Gucci in 2019 as a person capable of securing U.S. visas. Mona Gucci is accused of fraudulently collecting a total of GH¢103,400 from Obiri and three other individuals under the pretense of securing U.S. visas, but failing to deliver on the promise.

The travel consultant pleaded not guilty to the charge of defrauding by false pretense.

The court, presided over by Isaac Addo, granted Mona Gucci bail in the amount of GH¢200,000 with one surety. She was scheduled to return to court on December 11, 2023.
