Shatta Wale Jabs Stonebwoy After Spotify Export List Snub

Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has ignited fresh online controversy by subtly criticizing fellow artist Stonebwoy for his absence from Spotify’s 2025 Most Exported Ghanaian Artist list.
The jab was delivered in a social media post where Shatta Wale wrote, “Busy Body No Be Hard Work,” implying that Stonebwoy’s frequent international travel and constant activity do not necessarily translate into measurable global success via Spotify exports.
The comment came immediately after the release of the Spotify list, which was topped by Ghanaian-American artist Moliy with her globally popular single, “Shake It To The Max.” Stonebwoy, despite his reputation as one of Ghana’s most internationally recognized artists, did not feature on the list.
The post has generated heated discussions among fans:
- Shatta Wale’s SM camp celebrated the comment, seeing it as confirmation of their artist’s strategic success.
- Stonebwoy’s BHIM supporters countered by arguing that chart positions alone do not define an artist’s true legacy or overall influence in the industry.
As of now, neither Stonebwoy nor his management have publicly addressed Shatta Wale’s comments.
