Techiman Police Command Arrests 25 in Major Pre-Festive Drug Crackdown

The Techiman District Police Command in the Bono East Region has apprehended 25 individuals suspected of drug peddling and substance abuse following a strategic swoop on several criminal dens.

This operation targeted notorious hideouts within the Techiman Municipality, aiming to dismantle local gangs and disrupt the illicit drug trade that often surges during the holiday season.

ASP Nana Appiah Danquah, the Public Relations Officer for the Bono East Regional Police Command, confirmed the arrests and clarified that this exercise is part of a much larger, sustained security strategy.

He emphasized that the crackdown is not a temporary measure but a continuous effort to flush out criminal elements from the municipality.

All 25 suspects are currently being processed as part of the regional command’s broader commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents and traders alike.
