Nasty C Ready to Reconcile with Sarkodie After Years of “Spicy” Tension

South African rap star Nasty C has signaled his readiness to end a long-standing feud with Ghanaian rap legend Sarkodie, suggesting that much of their conflict was rooted in “lost translations.”

Speaking on Joy Prime’s Changes with Roselyn Felli on November 24, 2025, Nasty C explained that while Sarkodie’s previous responses to his lyrics were “spicy,” he harbors no ill will and is open to a formal sit-down to “smoke the peace pipe.”

The tension originally dates back to 2022, when Nasty C revealed in his freestyle “No Big Deal” that he had twice rejected collaboration requests from Sarkodie because the Ghanaian icon allegedly refused to shake his hand during their first meeting years prior.

The revelation at the time prompted a swift lyrical retort from Sarkodie in the track “Landlord,” where he dismissed Nasty C’s claims and asserted his dominance as a veteran in the game. In his latest interview, Nasty C admitted that his initial emotional reaction to the handshake incident was “childish” and fueled by anger.

While he remains cautious about a future musical collaboration – preferring to resolve their personal differences first – he expressed deep respect for Sarkodie’s legacy. He noted that despite the lack of communication since 2022, he is simply waiting for a mediator or their respective teams to organize a meeting to finally clear the air.
