Injury Blow: Barcelona Star Lamine Yamal Sidelined for Up to Four Weeks

FC Barcelona has confirmed that attacker Lamine Yamal will be sidelined for an estimated three to four weeks after sustaining an injury during the recent match against CD Leganés on Sunday.

The 17-year-old, who has Moroccan and Equatorial Guinean heritage, suffered a blow to his right ankle during the game, requiring him to be substituted in the 75th minute for Gavi.

Medical tests conducted on Monday revealed a grade 1 injury to the anterior tibiofibular ligament in the ankle.

A club statement confirmed the diagnosis and the expected absence period, meaning the young winger will be unavailable for the next few weeks.

Yamal has been a crucial player for Barcelona this season, contributing significantly with six goals and 11 assists across all competitions.
