Prince David Osei Recounts Refusing Kissing Scene Due to Co-Star’s Bad Breath

Ghanaian actor and producer Prince David Osei publicly recounted a distressing experience on a movie set where he refused to proceed with a kissing scene due to an actress having “extremely bad breath.”
The actor, often referred to as a “ladies’ man,” explained that the strong mouth odor, which he disturbingly compared to the smell of a “manhole,” prompted him to take immediate action.
Prince David Osei stated that he felt compelled to alert the director, but to avoid directly embarrassing the actress, he fabricated a health excuse:
“I’ll inform the director and tell him I have bleeding gums. I actually did that with an actress on set. Her breath was terrible—like a manhole—and I told the director I wouldn’t kiss her. Even during rehearsals, just getting close to her was unbearable.”
He emphasized that creative work must adhere to basic health standards and that proximity issues like bad breath or body odor concern his personal well-being. The actor noted that this negative experience has made him significantly more cautious when filming romantic scenes.
He further mentioned that despite his reputation and the intimacy of some scenes, he has never been sexually aroused while on set.
